Special Olympics is a worldwide not-for-profit organisation that
provides sports training and year round competitions to children and
adults with intellectual disabilities. The organisation has a presence
in nearly 200 countries.Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore (SOSUNS) is one of the local Special Olympics communities here in Australia. SOSUNS provides training and competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Client Brief
The organisation has been running for four years and has grown to
supporting eleven sports activities from entry level to advanced. SOSUNS required a new website that would help them keep in touch with athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and their local community. The website needed to support all sports activities and services. These
include Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Dance, Golf, Gymnastics,
Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, T-Ball and Ten Pin Bowling. It had to be easy to use, and flexible enough to allow them to easily add new sports' pages, events, and the latest news. Since the site has been live, the website has been updated on a regular basis by the SOSUN's team.

SOSUNS required an easy to update website to showcase their sports news, calendar events and their range of sponsors. The site utilises a user friendly content management system that empowers the SOSUNS team to publish content on demand. It combines both blog functionality plus standard webpage design and features community sports photos, articles and video streaming.
