Tourism NT Promotional Material

A 60 page wide-format Trade directory was developed for the World Youth & Student Travel industry conference (WYSTC) in Canada based on Tourism NT’s current style guide. The directory featured Accommodation, Tour Operators and Transport companies servicing the adventure travel and backpacker market and incorporated stunning photographic images complete with recycled stock and pur binding.

A PowerPoint presentation was also designed along with a silk banner to hang on the back wall of the Tourism NT exhibition stand at WYSTC. All imagery was carefully selected to appeal to the adventure travel and backpacker market, along with the appropriate tagline.
Outdoor Advertising for Tourism NT
A campaign strategy was developed for Tourism NT in 2004 - ‘This is Australia, Live it, Breathe it’. Initial application was for outdoor, retail stores and train station advertising targeting the adventure travel and backpacker market. Billboards,mini-panels and posters were designed for placement in key locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns with a ‘Hot Deals’ call to action.

As part of the ongoing awareness campaign, a series of Avant Card postcards were also developed for mass distribution throughout Australia, featuring key locations, icons and people throughout the Northern Territory.
Camel & Crocodile Costumes
Go Man Go have also had some fun designing an original camel costume and crocodile costume for Tourism NT. The camel and crocodile were both designed especially for the backpacker market. They had to be fun, hip and cool. We dressed the camel in a Hawaiian shirt, board shorts and thongs, with smouldering dark brown eyes and long eyelashes. The camel was designed as 2 pieces, with plenty of ventilation for the person wearing it.

With the crocodile, he didn’t require any clothes due to his long detailed tail. So we dressed him up with some accessories. An Australian Akubra hat, a red scarf and a friendly smile. The crocodile was also designed as a 2 piece costume.
Both the camel and crocodile, have proven to be a big hit with audiences at Tourism NT Backpacker presentation nights and special events. They have also been popular with the media and footy crowds.
