Celebrations are well under way here in Sydney to celebrate the Chinese Year of
the Metal Rabbit. Sydney has the biggest new year celebrations outside
of Asia, so we've asked one of Australia's leading Feng Shui and Chinese
Astrology Consultants - Master Siou Foon Lee to share a few insights about
the year ahead.
Master Siou Foon Lee: "2011 is the year of the Metal Rabbit and is symbolized by two elements:
Yin Metal and Rabbit Yin Wood. The Rabbit signifies the wood element. Wood's qualities are compassion and benevolence. Metal's key qualities are justice and altruism.
Yin Metal sits on top of Yin Wood, which means Metal is in control and in conflict mode with Wood. This means we must be alert to the environment we are in and the events happening around us.
Do not take things for granted this year. The Metal Rabbit is not as compromising. In fact the Rabbit believes strongly in his own powers of observation and can gauge events. He will find answers and solutions to problems he sees. He is more cunning and will carefully hide ambitious desires and goals. Underneath the relative calm and smoothness lie hidden agendas and inhibitions. Logical thinking and intelligence are carefully concealed.
On a positive note, Rabbit is an icon for creativity. He will be preoccupied with all forms of creative urges and ideas and will know how to live and appreciate the good things life has to offer.
Be inspired, stay motivated. With great depth and foresight we will ride the waves of change that 2011 brings."
